Storm ciara has a lot to answer for. Storm Dennis is due to arrive this weekend and is expected to bring with it strong winds leaving some devastating damage including many fences in and around Redditch and Bromsgrove.

We’ve spent the last week erecting and replacing fences that have been damaged by the storms.
Wooden posts are known to rot and eventually break at ground level over a period of time. If your perimeter fence has been in place for longer than 8 – 10 years then you’re more at risk during the storms.
The strongest type of fence posts are concrete posts with concrete gravel boards. This style of fence is not only strong but will not rot away like wooden fence posts.
New build houses always seem to have wooden posts which is the cheaper material but the old saying “pay cheap & pay twice” couldn’t be any more true. It will be cheaper in the short term but will cost you a lot more later in the long term.
