Before
So these pictures tell a pretty good story on how this garden looked before Redditch Paving took on the project. The garden is over 100 sq meters and consisted of a decking area which had been rotting away over the years. Overgrown lawn with 4 manhole / drains.
During
There was several issues we faced during this project and one of the most challenging issues was the man hole cover located underneath the decking area. This manhole can not be covered as it is a central point for other adjoining properties so access could possibly be needed in the future. The level of the ground in the garden including the manhole was to high and needed to be reduced.
There was a total of 4 manhole / drain covers to be kept level whilst keeping access. Here you can see the laying of the slabs and the preparation of the artificial grassed area. Just the artificial grass are was 52 sq meters.
After
The finished garden in all it’s glory. The manhole’s are still accessible. The slabbed area and artificial lawn. The garden was also prone to water logging and flooding but with our help we have included full water drainage so the garden no longer holds water.
